What are Wedding Bouquet Casts? -Wedding Bouquet Preservation in Buckinghamshire
You might be wondering what on earth is a wedding bouquet cast? Well, get ready to discover a truly beautiful AND unique way to preserve the essence of your wedding blooms!
If you’re planning your amazing wedding day, you may have just come across a little gem called wedding bouquet preservation. It’s incredible - your wedding flowers are transformed into a piece of art that you can cherish and admire forever. Not only does it look beautiful on a wall, but every time you glance at it, it will bring back memories of your special day. It’s also a wonderful way to give your wedding bouquet a second life instead of letting it wither away.
One method of achieving this is through a wedding bouquet cast. So, what exactly is it? It’s a process of preserving your wedding bouquet that begins with you posting or dropping off your bouquet after your wedding. Once your flowers arrive, they will first be admired and marvelled at (because I can’t help myself!) - then I’ll get to work! I’ll deconstruct your bouquet and select the best stems for your cast. After that, I’ll roll out a large heavy slab of clay and press your blooms into it to create a unique meadow imprint. Once your clay ‘garden’ is ready, I’ll pour plaster over it to create your special piece of wedding art. This will need some time to set, and I won’t know how your cast will look until it’s ready. Plus, I only have one chance to get it right, as the flowers can’t be reused. The moment of revealing the cast is pure magic for me! Your cast will need to dry for a while too, before it undergoes a few finishing touches, including cleaning, sanding, and framing. Is it messy? Very! Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!!
All you need to do is enjoy every second of one of the best days of your life, send your wedding blooms in the post a day or two later, and let me create a cherished floral heirloom for you!
